Colourful, tasty and well-cooked food with a large selection of homemade products is what characterizes the cuisine of Den Grønne Gren. Of course all the bread and cakes are baked here. We use many organic products; vegetables are always fresh – mostly locally grown.

On the menu you find light meals, snacks, different types of coffee, cakes, homemade burgers, sandwiches, vegetarian meals, dinners, special beers, wine and soft drinks etc..

We are the only café on West-Ærø that offers real cappuccino, café au lait and espresso, of course made with fresh beans from Max Haavelar..

The café has 45 seats indoors and 40 outside in our beautiful garden, where you can always find a shelter from the wind. In addition to the good cuisine the café is characterized by a cosy and comfortable atmosphere.

Pizzaria in Den Grønne Gren
Every Friday and Sunday from 18.00 – 20.00 we serve our homemade pizzas from the pizza oven. As custom requires, the tomato sauce has been simmering for many hours, so the smell of oregano has spread all over the café.

The good local beer
We have a great selection of beer from the small breweries on Fyn; among others Ale no.16 from Refsvindinge and Fynsk Forår from Ørbæk Brewery, and of course we have local beer from Rise Brewery, which is a brand new brewery on Ærø.

Food out of the house
If you are entertaining, staying in a holiday home or a campsite and wish to enjoy your meal at home, it is always possible to order food from the café. You can choose from the menu or order whatever you like. We are also able to deliver to larger parties.

It is also possible to order a lunch basket, if you are going to the beach, Voderup Klint or one of the many other beautiful places on the island.
