Den Grønne Gren is run by restaurant keeper Janni Bidstrup. Janni moved to Ærø from Copenhagen in the year 2000 and started Den Grønne Gren, which was to form the basis of a modern restaurant using organic produce of high quality and freshness – a cosy place to spend the night – a place with entertainment, music, exhibitions and other cultural arrangements. Janni has a nutritional- and domestic science education from Suhr´s Seminarium.

The star behind the kitchen (Scorpio)
No one manages cooking for guests as well as the Scorpio. The Scorpio woman labours to make as much as possible of the food herself.

Here we talk about a thoroughness, that can frighten the 11 other stars, but don’t worry. The Scorpio will not brag about it, to her it comes naturally.

Den Grønne Gren is also known from the TV-program “All at stake” on TV2. The program showed the launching of Den Grønne Gren.
